Your Questions, Our Answers.

Short, honest answers to the questions young families in Canada ask us every week. If you don’t see your question here, a conversation is all it takes.

How much life insurance do I actually need?

Most families start by covering their mortgage, their debts, the equivalent of 5 to 10 years of income, and future goals like education. During a discovery call, we will run simple scenarios together so you can see what each coverage amount would mean in real life.

What is the difference between an RESP and a TFSA for my child’s education?

RESPs are designed specifically for education and include government grants, while TFSAs are flexible savings accounts that can be used for multiple goals. Often the best strategy combines both: maximize RESP grants first, then use the TFSA for additional savings.

I’m self-employed — can I still get disability insurance?

Yes. Many of our clients are self-employed or entrepreneurs. We will review the nature of your income and recommend disability insurance in Ontario that can replace part of your income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury.

My parents are visiting from abroad — what insurance do they need?

Parents and relatives visiting Canada often need visitor insurance to cover emergency medical care during their stay. We will help you choose a plan that meets visa requirements and suits their age and health condition.

Does it cost more to go through an insurance broker?

No. We are paid by the insurance companies, with no additional fees added to your premiums. Our role is to help you compare options and choose the plan that best suits your family.
